Step 1: Use a Good White Mug for Sublimation

Not every mug is created equal. Sublimation printing requires white mugs with a special polymer coating, capable of absorbing the dye ink when exposed to heat and pressure.

The sublimation blank personalized ceramic mugs we carry are well crafted with smooth surfaces and strong handles. Their special coating is excellent for sublimation and easy to clean. These mugs are great for coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The base is once formed at high temperatures, and the finish is scratch-resistant and dishwasher-safe.

Step 2: Prepare Your Design

You can design your artwork using illustration tools like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or Canva. Whether it’s a logo, name, photo, or quote, ensure it fits within the printable area and is done in high resolution (300 dpi). Step 3: Printing

The design should be printed using sublimation ink and paper. Print your design with a sublimation printer, ensuring it’s mirrored before printing. Carefully wrap the transfer paper around the mug and fix it using heat-resistant tape.

Step 4: Use a Mug Press Machine

Place the cup into a mug press machine, setting the desired time, temperature, and pressure (normally 180–200°C for 3–5 minutes). The heat transforms the sublimation ink into gas and bonds it with the mug’s coating, resulting in a vibrant, long-lasting image with no surface texture—you can’t feel a thing!

Once finished, peel off the transfer paper and allow the ceramic personalized mug to cool before using or packing.
